Narrative Flight
A Three.js + Mapbox flight simulator over real cities, with AI personas that narrate the landscape as you fly.

A mini flight simulator where the terrain is the real world — Mapbox vector tiles and 3D buildings — and the co-pilot is an AI persona that turns geography into a live narrative.
Favourite thing to do while flying isn’t the in-flight movie; it’s opening the flight tracker and staring at the map. This project makes that impulse explorable: fly over actual cities anywhere in the world, with an AI pilot as real-time tour guide.
Under the hood: Mapbox vector tiles + 3D buildings + Three.js render loop + lightweight flight physics + lat/lng → spatial query → contextual prompt injection + persona-conditioned LLM responses.
Personas
Switch pilots mid-air without changing the route:
- Real-estate analyst
- Historian
- Demographics reader
- Obscure trivia guide
- Suburb-vibe decoder
Same coordinates, different story. Plug in property prices, infrastructure projects, crime heatmaps, startup density, environmental risk or census shifts, and the same flight becomes investment analysis, urban planning, or historical reconstruction — spatial UI plus LLMs as an explorable knowledge engine.
